A mid morning flight from Honolulu, Oahu saw us land to a sunny and beautifully warm Maui day. After collecting our hire car and our fancy-prancy GPS we were on the road to our chosen resort for our 3 night stay in Maui… the Royal Lahaina Resort. After some googling, trip advisor reading and consulting our budgets, this resort was perfect for our price range and honestly exceeded our expectations.

O’ahu is only one of the 8 Hawaiian islands, however it plays host the capital Honolulu and the main international airport. O’ahu is the most populated island with plenty to offer locals and tourists alike. With pristine beaches, a rich culture and incredible food, O’ahu is not an island that should be missed.

Travelling with my 2 travel buddies Angela & Arielle to Hawaii was always going to be a super fun, jam-packed girls trip. Staying in a super fancy resort whilst expensive, was a little bit of girls trip luxury that I’d love to share with you all. Upon doing a little research and discussing amongst each other, we decided that the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort would be the place for us to stay during our 6 day stay in Waikiki, Honolulu.

Whilst initially feeling like we were paying an arm and a leg for our room, once split between the 3 of us and looking up what the resort actually had to offer, the price didn’t seem quite so bad. We opted for a Resort View Ali’i Tower Double Room. Continue reading

When planning all of the fun touristy things I could do whilst visiting Los Angeles, discovering that Warner Brothers studios runs a VIP tour for fans to see the sets of some of their favourite television shows and movies, there was no question about it… We were going. We booked our tickets online in advance and booked our time slot so that we could fit in everything we needed to. You have the options of a 2 hour VIP tour or a 5 hour Deluxe tour. We chose to do the VIP tour and we were not disappointed!

In August I visited Hollywood, Los Angeles for a week with my travel buddy Emma to see the touristy sites and just relax before flying back home to Australia. With many, many hotel options and areas of Hollywood to stay narrowing it down was difficult. Last time I visited Hollywood (in December 2013) I stayed in West Hollywood, so was wanting to stay somewhere different. We decided to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Hollywood because of its close proximity to Hollywood attractions like the Walk of Fame and Chinese Theatre yet was also a convenient distance away from other things we had planned such as Universal Studios and Warner Brothers Studios Tour.

This is why we chose to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Hollywood and why you should definitely consider it as an accommodation choice when visiting Hollywood:- Continue reading
9 months ago I was fortunate enough to be able to not only spend 6 days in New York City, but also was there to celebrate New Years Eve 2014, a huge bucket list moment ticked off the list! I often post about the sites and cool things to see and do in the cities I’ve visited, although sometimes I haven’t physically been myself to all on the list (I try incredibly hard to see as much as I can whilst travelling and only recommend places I’m 100% sure you should visit) so I decided that I’d start writing about exactly how I spend my time in these cities for you guys. I think this will help my wonderful readers see just how much they can fit into a day, what I’ve seen and experienced, maybe even have a giggle and most importantly inspire you guys to visit, whether the same way as I do or your own way!

Universal Studios in Hollywood, Los Angeles is a popular attraction for all visiting Hollywood. The studio tour is one of the best in the business, the rides are inventive and detailed and your favourite characters are wandering around to take photo’s and sometimes cause a bit of a drama (I’m talking about you Bumble Bee, Optimus Prime and Megatron!). Not only is it a theme park, but many movies and television shows are still filmed right here in the studios back lots away from the tourists and theme park goers, although you can still get close to these sets (keep reading to find out how).

For many, many years now I have always dreamed of experiencing a ‘white Christmas’ with a warm roast lunch, a fire burning and snow falling all around. This however, is not possible on the Gold Coast, Australia with a tropical summer climate falling on December 25th every year. So, it was decided to travel to North America in the winter season and celebrate Christmas where it was almost always guaranteed to snow, Whistler in Canada.

Christmas isn’t very far away now, so I thought I’d share with my wonderful readers the best parts (and some tips of course!) of my first ever white Christmas so you guys can plan and experience the same winter wonderland for Christmas. Continue reading
