Why Choose Contiki Tours?

I’ve chosen to do the famous Contiki Tours not 1, not 2 but 3 times. In Contiki terms this makes me a Level 3 Traveller having visited 12 countries in total from these toursContiki was formed in 1962 and has since expanded globally. Aimed (and enforced) at 18-35 year olds, Contiki offers a range of tour destinations, durations, accommodation types and activities to suit almost anyone!

There are a number of reasons why I’ve chosen to do Contiki tours and with a slogan of #noregrets I can say that this truly lives up to the Contiki name. Heres my 7 reasons I kept choosing to do Contiki:-

  1. See Lots Of Countries And Cities
Contiki makes going to a range of countries and cities easy! With a variety of tours to choose from you really can see all of the places you’ve wanted to see in one overseas adventure. With routes already planned, activities (included and optional extras) already chosen, many of your meals already sorted, Contiki makes seeing the best of each city easy to do.
  2. Value For Money
When you think about how much it would cost you to fly to each country/city, get a cab from the airport to your accommodation (that you also need to pay for), to meal costs and attraction costs, Contiki really is worth the investment! With majority of these costs included in your tour price (and if not optional extra costs are specified) and your transport and attractions already sorted, you’re getting every dollar you spend.
  3. Insider Tips
Contiki have been there and done that for decades and with years of travel knowledge they have sussed out all the ins and outs of travelling in your locations. With handy insider tips for fast attraction entry, transport ideas and with plenty of information on what there is to do in your location, all the hard research is done for you!
  4. Social
Many contiki tours are filled to capacity and you are therefore travelling around with the same group of people for the duration of your tour. Contiki is super social, with organised themed parties, group dinners and hours spent together on the bus, your fellow Contiki travellers will quickly become like family and departing will be difficult, I guarantee that!
  5. Makes Travelling Easy
It’s one of the easiest ways to travel! You meet at a place, get on the bus, see some attractions, drive back to your hotel, wake up the next day to get on the bus and in a few hours time you’re in a completely new place. All you have to worry about is being on time!
  6. See Places You Never Would Have Considered
And more often than not, you’ll love these newfound places! In my own case, when doing a Europe Contiki tour it included Austria, which I hadn’t really researched and knew very little about. Turns out after being there, it’s one of the most beautiful countries I’ve been lucky enough to see. Don’t let places you don’t know or know very little about deter you!
  7. Fantastic Reviews
When researching for my tours, I found Contiki took me where I wanted to go and had excellent reviews from past travellers who have travelled with Contiki. I’d definitely vouch for the company!

Contiki tours are definitely worth looking into when travelling overseas, either on its own or as one part of your adventure! You’ll have #noregrets!
Global Whispers chose to do the European Experience, Greek Island Adventurer and LA to The Bay (Winter) tours all of which are still offered on Contiki.

All posts are by GlobalWhispers2014 and are entirely my own opinions, views and experiences.
